Credential Groups
Frequently asked questions when troubleshooting about credential groups.
Do end users need to update Customer App to access this feature?
We recommend Customer App users to kill the old app and restart it again or to reinstall the app to get the latest version. This version upgrade will be checked every 24 hours.
Also to logout and log back in again to get the latest configuration if Credential Group has been (re)configured by installers.
Installer Technician failed to move a site into an existing Credential Group or to another Credential Group - how can this be done?
Installer Technician does not have the privilege to do this on active sites. Installer Manager or Organization Manager can do this.
Installer Mode has to be turned for at least one site within the Credential Group.
Does the Site need to be in Installer Mode to make changes?
At least one site in the Credential Group must be in Installer Mode for changes to be made.
What if the customer doesn't want a site in a Credential Group anymore?
Click the Credentials dropdown menu.
Select Remove from Group
The Remove from Group lightbox displays
Warning will appear. If you want to remove the site from the Credential Group , click OK or click CANCEL to close the lightbox.
WARNING: Removing this site from its current credential group will deactivate the site credentials
The site will then become a standalone site that you can regenerate your own credentials.
How do I know what sites are in a Credential Group?
On Installer Portal, select COLUMNS and choose Credential Group.
I don't see Credential Group column on my Installer Portal mobile view
The mobile view only shows 2 columns due to size limit. We can still see the Credential Group name as part of site title on site page, if the site is in a Credential Group.
