Ability to support the Telguard TG-4 for monitoring & cellular pack-up for the USA

A site template is a that provides a consistent structure for creating new sites.

Low-level elevator integration refers to a basic or limited connection between an access control solution and a building’s elevator system.

April 2025

A new Tamper toggle has been added to the T30 configuration lightbox. This allows users to easily enable or disable the tamper setting based on their requirements.

By default, this setting is enabled.

Allow Areas to be configured for arming/disarming status not to be reported to the monitoring station.

A Credential Group is a group of sites that allows users within the group to have a single credential for all sites they have privileges for.

The length of the User Code changes the security level of a site. Warning wording added to User Code Length lightbox.

Set the length that User Codes will be when they are generated for users in the SMB app. A site can choose 4-8 digits.

Installers can now effectively test doors within the installer app as the status of the door buttons has been corrected.

Users on iPads can now access the video linking button.

When a site is configured the Technician can change the role names that are displayed in the Customer app to be more relevant to the customer structure.

Arming modes added to the areas - Force Arm, Bypass & Fail to Arm.

Site Managers can select this option to only be notified of Panic Button incidents.

Site Manager can set one time each day when their site will be armed. A different time can be set for each day of the week.

Flexibility to enable and disable NFC functionality directly on your readers.

The refresh button can be used to update configuration without having to publish changes to the site.

November 2023

SMB customers will soon be able to link their VMS system with their SMB app.

When an alarm is triggered, customers will see a View Camera option, which will open the camera app of their existing VMS system so they can verify the alarm.

Technicians can create, edit & delete notes that provide information about how the site is configured or anything that needs to be shared about a site.

Additional of "Fence" as a door type.

October 2023

Event Rate Limiting

Automatically restrict the number of events sent from the controller to reduce flooding the controller when a significant event is happening.

Based on customer feedback the ability to have multiple user schedule time ranges per day was added to the feature.

September 2023

Encryption check box added. Optionally select this check box to encrypt all transmissions from the Controller, then enter the Encryption Key.

Installer can modify the key account holder by utilizing a "CHANGE KEY ACCOUNT HOLDER" button located on the Key Account Holder's lightbox.

The 'First access unlock' checkbox is added to allow disable first card to a door.

August 2023

When creating a new user, or editing an existing one, they can now be assigned a start and end date. The user will only have access to the site during this period of time.

User Schedules can now be generated in the SMB app. This allows you to restrict access based on the day of the week, and time of the day. Schedules can be applied to any user/s.

July 2023

We've expanded the ways that third-party monitoring can be configured within the SMB system by adding support for IP alarms. Phase one of this release will support CSV with authentication, while Phase two (under development) will support DC-09 with encryption. This enhancement removes the requirement for additional hardware to enable third-party monitoring.

Ability to enable Free Handle exiting when configure the request to exit on a door.

Providing our security integrators with the ability to manage their own technicians and how has access to their verison of the Installer Portal to configure sites.

June 2023

The all new Offline Mode allows the SMB system to be controlled locally via Bluetooth when an internet connection is not available, or if the system cannot connect to Gallagher Cloud Services. Offline Mode will be enabled automatically when a connection is not detected, and can also be enabled manually if required.

Ability to enter a user code to arm a site.

Adding the ability to filter the Team page by users on a particular site.

April 2023

Two different types of User Codes can now be generated via the SMB app - a code To View, or a code To Send. If a shareable code is chosen, it will be sent directly to the user via SMS.

Periodic Dialling can now be enabled within the SMB Installer Portal. The frequency of tests can be set to either dial daily at X time or dial every X number of hours.

The SMB system now supports the HBUS 16I/O Board.

SMB App UI Refresh

We’ve added a navigation bar to the bottom of the SMB app to make it easier to quickly access important areas. The My Key screen has also been removed.

SMB Online Training Course Release

Learn about the SMB Installer Portal, and installing SMB hardware via the SMB Online Training Course.

A user can now be granted access to multiple sites from a single screen, greatly reducing the time spent managing access. A user’s access to all sites can now also be instantly removed with the press of a button.

2022

December 2022

Demo Sites allow technicians to configure a SMB system without being charged for active subscription add-ons. This is great for training and testing purposes. A maximum of up to five Demo Sites can be set up.

October 2022

A User Code can now be used to unlock doors, offering an additional option alongside the SMB app or an SMB Key Tag. User Codes are generated within the SMB app.

September 2022

Doors can now be configured with or without an access reader to better meet the specific needs of the customer. This makes it possible to accommodate for a wider variety of site configurations.

Gates and roller doors can now be controlled via the SMB app.

An Open button has been added to the Doors tab of the SMB app. Selecting this option will momentarily open a door.

July 2022

Based on feedback from technicians, we've made some improvements to Test Mode including; will be automatically enabled when a new site is created, warnings will displays for sites with Guarding & Monitoring enabled and when the site is activated a warning will display before automatically disabling the mode.

May 2022

Test Mode allows technicians to install, configure, and test an SMB site without alarming others by setting off the sirens, or any additional devices activated in response to an alarm.

Site activity can now be filtered by date. This data can then be exported as a CSV file and sent directly to an email address for reporting purposes.

Portable SMB demonstration kits are now available to order.

An SMB Key Tag can now be used to arm and disarm the alarm. This offers an alternative to using the SMB app. Key Tags are encoded by you via the SMB app without intervention from a security technician.

2021

December 2021

A business can now opt for their security to be monitored by a third-party as an additional subscription add-on. If a security incident occurs, the company will notify relevant parties in accordance with an agreed plan.

October 2021

An SMB Key Tag can now be used lock and unlock doors, offering an alternative to the SMB app. Key Tags are encoded via the SMB app without intervention from a security technician.

Installation Note released for supporting a low level integration with Inovonics.
