Command Centre Access Group List

The Access Group list creation is required if you plan to use Access request workflows in AccessNow e.g. to enable users to request access to additional or secure areas. The Access Group list is imported from the Command Centre. Each Command Centre Access Group on the list determines access to a selected area.

Refer to the Command Centre guide for detailed explanation of Access Groups.

Hiding an Access Group in AccessNow

AccessNow imports all Access Groups from the Command Centre division where the AccessNow operator was initially created. It is possible to hide some of the imported Access Groups from the users submitting their access requests users (occupants).

The occupants do not see the hidden groups and thus can't request access to them. Since all imported groups are visible on default, hiding the selected Access Groups is used for excluding them from access requests.

Hiding an Access Group is especially useful for highly secure areas that should not be available in AccessNow. Alternatively, it can also be used for hiding the commonly available areas that all occupants have access to on default and would not need in AccessNow.

To hide an Access Group, go to the system Lists module. Click the Access Group list to open it in the edit mode. Select and click on the Access Group you'd like to hide.

1

Click the Access Group List

The lits opens in en edit mode.

2

Select and click on the Access Group

Click on the sleceted Access Group. It opens a side panel with options.

3

Tick the Hide checkbox

Deleting an Access Group from ths list

To delete an Access Group from the AccessNow Access Group list, it's better to use the Hide option instead. Refer to the Hiding an Access Group section for details.

Manage Access Groups primarily in the Command Centre, not in AccessNow. Deleted Access Groups in AccessNow reappear upon synchronization with Command Centre, but they return as hidden.
