  1. Troubleshooting

Controller offline alarm

If your alarm system goes offline, it will create an incident. The incident will show a Controller offline alarm.

An offline incident occurs when your system can no longer connect to the internet. Your site enters a 'local only' mode – it is still secure, siren will still be triggered if an alarm is activated, however, you will not receive notifications about intruder alarms and a guard cannot be called.

What you will see

If your alarm system goes offline, you will receive a push notification and see the Connection Error message on your My Site page of the app. When you open the incident, you will see the orange Controller offline banner.

When your system is back online, the orange banner in the incident will disappear and your My Site page will return to normal.

What to do next

If your system comes back online, select the Actions button and close the incident, selecting Maintenance as the reason.

If your system does not come back online, check your internet connection. If your other devices have also lost connection, turn your internet modem off and on again.

If after 30 minutes your system has not reconnected, contact your Install Partner.
