# Controller Firmware If new controller firmware is available for a site, within the customers site there will be a message "New Firmware Update Available" will be next to the Controller component on the hardware tree. * From within the customers site, click on the **Controller** lightbox. * Click **UPDATE FIRMWARE** - a loading spinner will indicate progress. * Upon success, a confirmation screen appears stating: **Controller Firmware Updated** * Click **OK** to return to the hardware tree If an update is available please complete the firmware update as soon as possible. It will ensure the controller is running the latest version.
