# Configure ThyssenKrupp Insight

Install the Gallagher Elevator Service and configure ThyssenKrupp Insight elevator system and car items.

Configure ThyssenKrupp Insight for Command Centre 8.40 and later. Complete the Elevator Service and ThyssenKrupp configuration together for certificate exchange.

### Before you start

* Obtain floor arrangements and DOP or COP group and car identifiers from the ThyssenKrupp Technician
* Install the Gallagher Elevator Service on a middleware machine, not the Command Centre server
* Confirm the required ThyssenKrupp Insight license is available

### Install the Elevator Service

1. Locate the Elevator Service installer in the Command Centre Installer Kit ISO files.
2. Install the Elevator Service on the middleware machine.
3. Exchange the required certificates with the ThyssenKrupp system.

### Create the ThyssenKrupp Elevator System

1. In Command Centre, go to **Configure > Elevator Systems**.
2. Create a **ThyssenKrupp Elevator System** item.
3. Enter the values supplied by the ThyssenKrupp Technician.

### Discover elevator groups

1. Open the **Elevator Devices** tab of the ThyssenKrupp Elevator System item.
2. Discover the elevator devices.
3. Select **Create Items**.

Device discovery can create the Elevator Group item automatically. Enable the required registry setting before using automatic item creation.

### Configure DOP and COP items

Configure Destination Operating Panel (DOP) and Car Operating Panel (COP) Elevator Car HLI items. Use the group, car, and floor values provided by ThyssenKrupp.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.security.gallagher.com/knowledge-hub/products/integrations/elevators/thyssenkrupp/configure-thyssenkrupp-insight.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
