# Disarm alarm zones

Disarm all or selected alarm zones from a Remote Arming Terminal.

### Disarm all or individual alarm zones

1. Log on to the Remote Arming Terminal.
2. Press the **Disarm** soft key on the "Choose Action" screen.
3. **If "Prompt for alarm zone selection" is NOT assigned**, all Alarm Zones with the "Change to Disarmed state" privilege are automatically disarmed.
4. **If "Prompt for alarm zone selection" IS assigned**, the "Disarm" screen displays.

### Use the Disarm screen

* Only **armed** Alarm Zones for which the operator has both "Prompt for alarm zone selection" and "Change to the Disarmed state" privileges appear.
* Status indicators are the same as the Arm screen (A / D / 1 / 2 / ?, and HV / LF).

### Important notes

* A disarm will trigger the "Manual Unsets expire after xxx minutes" property of the Alarm Zone, if configured (State Changes tab of the Alarm Zone properties).
* **It is NOT possible to disarm to User 1 or User 2 via a Remote Arming Terminal.**

### Disarm all zones

1. Select ALL and press the key.
2. On success, "Zones are disarmed" displays, then returns to the "Choose Action" menu.
3. On failure, a failure message displays, then returns automatically.

### Disarm individual zones

1. Select the zone and press the key.
2. **If an entry delay is configured in Command Centre:** the delay screen displays for the configured "Delay Time" (Entry Delay tab of the RAT properties).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.security.gallagher.com/knowledge-hub/products/cc-hardware/perimeter-solutions/perimeter-keypads/configure/keypads-disarming.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
