# Fence hardware

Reference Gallagher fence posts, insulators, tensioning hardware, and wire part numbers.

Gallagher Security Physical Fence Hardware enhances the security of a perimeter by integrating advanced technology with robust physical barriers. The components below combine to form a monitored pulse fence. Pair them with an [energiser](/knowledge-hub/products/cc-hardware/perimeter-solutions/energisers.md) and, optionally, perimeter intrusion detection sensors.

Use this page as the part-number reference when quoting fence-line components.

### Posts

Posts come in two wall thicknesses. `1 mm` posts are intermediate posts. `2 mm` posts are strain posts and tall posts. Strain posts handle the load at corners, gates and termination points. Intermediates carry mid-span fence height. Height options scale with wire count.

| Part # | Wall | Height / Wires   | Description       | Pack |
| ------ | ---- | ---------------- | ----------------- | ---- |
| G20300 | 1 mm | 2.1 m / 23 wires | Intermediate post | Each |
| G20310 | 2 mm | 2.1 m / 23 wires | Strain post       | Each |
| G20301 | 1 mm | 2.4 m / 27 wires | Intermediate post | Each |
| G20311 | 2 mm | 2.4 m / 27 wires | Strain post       | Each |
| G20302 | 1 mm | 2.6 m / 28 wires | Intermediate post | Each |
| G20312 | 2 mm | 2.6 m / 28 wires | Strain post       | Each |
| G20303 | 1 mm | 3.0 m / 33 wires | Intermediate post | Each |
| G20313 | 2 mm | 3.0 m / 33 wires | Strain post       | Each |
| G20314 | 2 mm | 3.4 m / 38 wires | Post              | Each |
| G20315 | 2 mm | 3.7 m / 41 wires | Post              | Each |
| G20316 | 2 mm | 4.0 m / 44 wires | Post              | Each |
| G20317 | 2 mm | 4.6 m / 51 wires | Post              | Each |

**Installer note:** The Z10 Tension Sensor works only with **2.0 mm and 2.5 mm HT galvanised steel** wire (G29802 / G29803). Do not deploy Z10 sensors on aluminium wire runs.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.security.gallagher.com/knowledge-hub/products/cc-hardware/perimeter-solutions/fence-hardware.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
