# Energisers

Reference F-Series energiser models, capacities, installation limits, accessories, and conformity documents.

Monitored Pulse Fence (MPF) energisers produce regulated safe high-voltage pulses on the fence, detect intrusion by monitoring voltage drop, arm and disarm zones, and communicate alarms. They can be online with Command Centre or standalone, depending on site requirements.

### Key specifications

The current range is F51, F52, F61 and F62. F51 and F52 are the standard 2.3 J / 8 kV models. F61 and F62 are the HV+ models at 3.6 J / 10 kV.

| Model  | Part # | Zones | Operation          | Max Output             | Battery          |
| ------ | ------ | ----- | ------------------ | ---------------------- | ---------------- |
| F51    | G21923 | 1     | Standalone or HBUS | 2.3J / 8kV             | Internal 12V 7Ah |
| F52    | G21943 | 2     | Standalone or HBUS | 2.3J / 8kV             | Internal 12V 7Ah |
| F61    | G21933 | 1     | Standalone or HBUS | 3.6J / 10kV (HV+)      | Internal 12V 7Ah |
| F62    | G21953 | 2     | Standalone or HBUS | 3.6J / 10kV (HV+)      | Internal 12V 7Ah |
| F61-EN | G21935 | 1     | Standalone or HBUS | 8kV, HV+ not available | Internal 12V 7Ah |
| F62-EN | G21955 | 2     | Standalone or HBUS | 8kV, HV+ not available | Internal 12V 7Ah |

F61-EN and F62-EN are the EN 60335-2-76 compliant variants.

{% hint style="warning" %}
**HV+ is excluded from the EN variants**, capped by EN and BSEN energy limits. Do not specify HV+, or the 3.6 J and 7.2 J escalated figures, in a UK or EU design.

### Key features

* On-board status display. No keypad is required for indication.
* Service mode via magnetic key (G21963), supplied with the controller.
* **Smart Sync**, a wireless-style sync capability. This is new on F5x/F6x and is not on F3x/F4x.
* HV+ escalation mode on F61 and F62 only. It increases voltage on alarm.
* **SELV Ready** on F61 and F62 only. Not yet available — it arrives in a later software update, so do not design against it today.
* Low Feel mode, approximately 500 V, for monitoring without deterrent shock.
* Battery backup with an auto-test every 14 days.
* Temperature management. The pulse is cut at 85°C.
* HBUS connection to Command Centre. A [Controller 7000](broken://pages/873trKCrdhjXzfqYdsdU) is required, and HBUS support requires Command Centre vEL9.40 or later.

### Installation limits

* Maximum HBUS cable run is **500 m** from the Controller 7000.
* Maximum **24** F5x/F6x units per HBUS cable.
* LV sync network maximum is **1.2 km** total, up to **250** controllers.
* HV sync is available on F52 and F62 only.
* Mount the energiser close to the fence to minimise lead-out cable length.
* Segregate HV, mains and data cabling. Minimum separation is **300 mm**.

### Alarm outputs

| Output | Function                                        |
| ------ | ----------------------------------------------- |
| Out1 | System alarm (battery, tamper, temp, sync loss) |
| Out2   | Power failure                                   |
| Out3   | Zone (-Ve) alarm                                |
| Out4   | Armed indication                                |
| Out5   | Zone (+Ve) alarm, F52 and F62 only              |

### Variants

HBUS connection to a Controller 7000 requires Command Centre vEL9.40 or later. The F5x/F6x generation has been supported since CC 9.00, the F3x/F4x generation since CC 7.40.

# Agent Instructions
This documentation is published with GitBook. GitBook is the documentation platform designed so that both humans and AI agents can read, navigate, and reason over technical content effectively. Learn more at gitbook.com.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.security.gallagher.com/knowledge-hub/products/cc-hardware/perimeter-solutions/energisers.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
