# CCFT Service Manager

CCFT Service Manager has been available since v6 and runs on servers and workstations. It lets you start and stop Command Centre services, enable Trace and General enhanced logging, access Command Centre configuration and client logs, create and access minidumps, enable memory Diagnostics, and detach and re-attach Gallagher databases.

Location: `C:\Program Files (x86)\Gallagher\Command Centre\Bin` on later versions. Earlier versions shipped it in the install-media Utilities folder. It is also on the File Transfer Site under *Command Centre and Associated Files > Utilities*.

{% hint style="info" %}
Do not copy CCFT Service Manager to the desktop. Create a shortcut instead, so it upgrades in lockstep with Command Centre.
{% endhint %}

On the server it sits in the system tray. The tray-icon states show whether all services run, only the Command Centre service runs, only secondary services (Controller/BootP) run, all are stopped, or services are starting.

The menu launches the Command Centre and Configuration Client, starts, stops, enables, and disables all services (with privileges), controls individual services, manages templates and backups, attaches, detaches, backs up, and restores CCFTCentral and CCFTEvent, and views the current Command Centre and server logs.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.security.gallagher.com/knowledge-hub/deployment-resources/support-tools-and-troubleshooting/ccft-service-manager.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
