# Bulk configuration tool

Import and export Command Centre configuration through CSV files.

The Bulk Configuration Tool imports configuration from a `.csv` file into Command Centre. It can create or modify 70+ item types across 200+ settings. Its export option moves configuration between systems. The tool has a new UI in v9.0+.

It is a free tool for sites on 8.70+. Ask Technical Support or Sales Support to add the license feature string:

```
[Features]
BulkConfigTool=1
```

Download the release note, installer, and latest UI from the Gallagher File Transfer Site or Technical Support.

Supported item types span the whole system: Divisions, schedules, access groups and zones, doors (including Aperio and Schlage), controllers (C6000, C7000, C7000 SD on vEL9.00+), readers (Cardax IV, third-party, Morpho, OSDP), I/O (HBUS, QuickSwitch, and legacy GBUS/expansion on pre-vEL9.10 only), fence controllers (F22, F31/32/41/42, generic), sensors (disturbance, taut-wire), macros, action plans, guard tours, lockers, elevators (Car, Car HLI, HLI), mobile devices and credentials, Apple Employee Badge Type (vEL9.10+), card types, roles, competencies, and more. Some options are version-specific.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.security.gallagher.com/knowledge-hub/deployment-resources/support-tools-and-troubleshooting/bulk-configuration-tool.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
