# Product drawings and BIM elements

Download Gallagher BIM, CAD, and PDF product drawings for project design.

A collection of product drawings in different formats to suit requirements. Gallagher publishes its hardware drawings as Revit BIM elements, CAD (DWG) models, and PDF drawings, so consultants, architects and installers can design a site accurately.

### Building Information Model (BIM) elements

BIM elements are drawings generated from a Building Information Model, rather than drafted manually from scratch like traditional CAD drawings. You can use them to design a Gallagher Security Enterprise access control system within Revit. They are supplied as `.zip` Revit family packs.

### Readers

[Gallagher Security Card Readers Revit v2.zip](https://media.gallagher.com/m/5a7872ec475f2045/original/BIM-Revit-Files-Readers-v2.zip)

**Updated November 2025.** Revit families have been updated from wall based to **face based**, allowing families to be used with Revit link files.

The file contains BIM elements for the following:

* **Readers.** Mullion: T10, T11, T12 and T15. Keypad: T20, T21 and T30.
* **Accessories.** Linked to each reader.
* **Colors.** Black and white.
* **Reader technologies.** MIFARE only; Multitech (MIFARE, 125kHz and Bluetooth); High Security.

Families of accessories are nested into the relevant reader they were designed for, and can be selected as part of the reader placement process. In the example below, a keypad shroud has been selected for use on a T20 reader.

All current Gallagher Security readers and accessories are available. New products are added to future Gallagher Revit file releases.

### Cabinets, controllers, modules, hubs, and input/output boards

[Gallagher Security Cabinets Revit v2022.zip](https://media.gallagher.com/m/152eb7f4b3166ae3/original/Cabinets-BIM-Models.zip)

The file contains BIM elements for the following:

* **Cabinets**, in all available colors. Dual, Single, Starter Kits, 2 Door Kits, and Class 5. Some cabinets include power supplies.
* **Controllers**, as Standard, Enhanced and High Security. Controller 6000, Controller 7000.
* **Plug-in modules.** R and H Bus.
* **Input/output boards.** High Density, 8 In 4 Out, 8 In, Door Modules, Hubs.

> ⚠️ **Important:** The BIM elements for Controller, Module, Input/Output and Hub hardware families are nested inside the Cabinets and can only be selected from within a cabinet. All Cabinets are Gallagher manufactured. For Life Safety Power (LSP) cabinets, refer to LSP BIM resources.

#### Place cabinet hardware

1. Select a cabinet.
2. Place the cabinet on a wall.

   Each cabinet shows the open door swing and available internal footprints.
3. Select the footprint.
4. Choose the required hardware from the dropdown.

Gallagher products are full-, half-, or quarter-foot sized. You need to know each product size.

### Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings

CAD drawings are technical drawings of Gallagher hardware. They can be imported into any application that supports **DWG** files, to assist you in designing your site.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.security.gallagher.com/knowledge-hub/deployment-resources/engineering-and-design-reference/product-drawings-and-bim-elements.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
