# Command Centre Lists

Command Centre imported lists let you transfer information from Command Centre to AccessNow. You can use features such as **Access Groups**, **Personal Data Fields (PDFs)**, **Divisions**, and **Card Types** to set up workflows.

Refer to the Command Centre guide for a detailed explanation of Access Groups, Divisions, Personal Data Fields, and Card Types.

## Creating a List of Items from Command Centre

The following instructions apply to all list types that contain information imported from Command Centre, including Access Groups, PDFs, and Card Types.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Verify Command Centre connection

See the [Command Centre Integration](/knowledge-hub/accessnow-user-guide/system-administration/command-centre-integration.md) section for details. You need an active Command Centre connection to import items from the system.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### In the **Lists** Module, Click the **+ Add List** Button

Enter the new list name and description.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Save the new list

You can import Command Centre items only after the list is saved. The list opens in edit view.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Click the **Import Items** Button

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Confirm the Action in the Pop-Up

The system asks you to confirm the import of items from Command Centre.

{% hint style="warning" %}
To import Command Centre entities into AccessNow, grant the appropriate privileges to the AccessNow REST operator in Command Centre. See the detailed list of privileges: [Command Centre – AccessNow Operator](/knowledge-hub/accessnow-user-guide/system-administration/command-centre-integration/command-centre-accessnow-operator.md).
{% endhint %}
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Import Is Complete

The items are imported to AccessNow.

{% hint style="info" %}
AccessNow imports items from the Command Centre division where the AccessNow operator was initially created.
{% endhint %}
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Renaming an Item

After importing a list, you can change item names in AccessNow. This makes it more intuitive for users requesting access or configuring workflows. By default, items retain their Command Centre names, which can confuse users unfamiliar with internal terminology.

{% hint style="info" %}
Renaming list items is especially helpful for **Access Groups**, as they are visible to the requester when selecting the areas they need access to. The new name is visible for the Access Group when users make access requests.

Renaming **Card Types**, on the other hand, can make it easier for physical credential approvers to choose the correct credential type from the available list.
{% endhint %}

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Navigate to the **Lists** module

It displays all the system lists.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Select a List

Click the selected list to view all the items it contains.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Click an Item

Click the item you want to edit. It opens a side panel that lets you change the item details.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Enter the New Name in the **Value** Field

To customise the item name in AccessNow, enter the desired name in the **Value** field.

<figure><img src="https://3605010251-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FHOxYzVrszbXcNBUauC0e%2Fuploads%2FMC6AcJ579PPqmerXh3KU%2FScreenshot%202025-11-03%20at%2021.33.27%20%E2%80%93%20ScreenClip.png?alt=media&amp;token=27a01089-9422-4dbf-b774-36fceeb0868f" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Click **Save**

{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Hiding a List Item in AccessNow

You can hide imported items from users. For example, requesters cannot view hidden access groups or request access to them.

By default, all imported items are visible. Hide items to exclude them from workflow configurations and steps.

{% hint style="info" %}
Hiding an Access Group is especially useful for highly secure areas that should not be available in AccessNow. It can also be used to hide commonly available areas that all occupants can access by default and do not need to request in AccessNow.
{% endhint %}

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Go to the **Lists** Module

The module displays all created lists.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Select a List

The list opens in edit mode.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Click a List Item

Click the selected item. A side panel opens with options.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Select the **Hide** Checkbox

<figure><img src="https://3605010251-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FHOxYzVrszbXcNBUauC0e%2Fuploads%2FSqK9bpObUx6EZmbosH4G%2FScreenshot%202025-07-28%20at%2014.02.33.png?alt=media&amp;token=2c73f876-4a22-425b-bb9f-68839dc6cabc" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Save the Change

{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Synchronising Lists with Command Centre

To synchronise AccessNow lists with the Command Centre system, use the **Sync Items** function. This feature aligns Command Centre configuration with the relevant AccessNow list, ensuring updates when new items are added or removed in Command Centre.

* **New items**: Newly imported items are initially hidden. To display them to occupants, uncheck the **Hide** box.
* **Items deleted from Command Centre**: Items deleted from Command Centre are automatically removed from AccessNow.
* **Items deleted from AccessNow**: If an item is deleted only from AccessNow and not from the Command Centre, it is re-added to AccessNow as hidden.
* **Modified items**: Any changes to item details in AccessNow are reverted to the original Command Centre settings. This includes restoring the original link (Reference). However, if an item is renamed in AccessNow, the AccessNow name will remain unchanged.

{% hint style="info" %}
Item synchronisation with Command Centre is manual. There is no automatic synchronisation.
{% endhint %}

To synchronise a selected list between Command Centre and AccessNow:

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Go to the **Lists** Module

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Click a list

The list opens in edit mode.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Click the **Sync Items** Button

<figure><img src="https://3605010251-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FHOxYzVrszbXcNBUauC0e%2Fuploads%2F5ldhqlq0UUUAtM87sGjK%2FScreenshot%202026-06-18%20at%2012.02.11%20%E2%80%93%20ScreenClip.png?alt=media&amp;token=7b49d16a-b47b-44fa-92b1-ff0c821a556c" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Click **Confirm** to Proceed

The system asks you to confirm the synchronisation.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.security.gallagher.com/knowledge-hub/accessnow-user-guide/workflow-creation/creating-and-managing-workflows/workflow-configuration/lists/command-centre-lists.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
