The card type list is a configurable list used in the credential workflow. It defines different credential types available for assignment to users, such as a staff card, student card, cleaner card, or mobile credential. It allows users to select the appropriate card type during the credential request process, ensuring the workflow can handle multiple card types.
In Gallagher Command Centre, Card Types serve as essential configuration templates required to create and manage both physical and digital access tokens for cardholders. These templates are used to standardize the security parameters and operational behavior of credentials.
For example, they can manage the credential’s lifespan and automatically disable tokens after a period of non-use. Card Types also act as the foundation for physical and digital representations of credentials, providing the basis for card layouts. They support specialised integrations for Mobile Credentials, Digital IDs, and biometric templates. They also allow automatic advance notice notifications for expiring credentials.
