# Renaming Access Groups in AccessNow

After importing an Access Group, you can change its name in AccessNow to make it more intuitive for users requesting access. By default, groups retain their names from Command Centre, which can be confusing for those unfamiliar with internal terminology.

Before changing the Access Group names in AccessNow, ensure you have imported Command Centre Access Groups. If not, follow these instructions to complete the import: [Command Centre Access Groups import](/command-centre/accessnow-user-guide/workflow-creation/creating-and-managing-workflows/workflow-configuration/lists/command-centre-access-group-list.md).

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Open the Access Group List

{% endstep %}

{% endstep %}

{% step %}
